My favorite brand of car is
And my favorite model is the....
I'm currently driving my 4th Mustang. It all started with a 67 coupe. That car needed lots of work, including a new suspension, new floorboards, new interior and a new engine. I sure learned a lot about classic Mustangs fixing that car up. My next car was a 1985 GT. I got tired of having to fix the 67 right away every time something broke. The 85 was as much fun as the 67, and had all the modern conveniences of a modern car. Power everything, air conditioning, etc. I'd installed a world-class T5, 8.8 rear w/3.73 gears, underdrive pulleys, off-road H-pipe and FlowMaster 3 chamber mufflers. Best time I ever managed at the track was somewhere around 14.2, but it was really humid out, and I think I could've dipped into the 13's without slicks had it been cooler. I then moved onto a 94 GT. This was by far the slowest of all the Mustangs I owned up to this point. I only had that car a little more than a year when I traded it in on my current car, a 97 GT Convertible. I'd always wanted a drop top, and finally had the opportunity to make it happen. I would've loved the Cobra Convertible, but it just wouldn't work into the financial plans at this time. Maybe when it's time to trade this one...
Update - 1/99! Test drove a 99 GT. The traction control is nice. Not having to worry about sliding around in the rain is GREAT! (I test drove on a somewhat rainy day) I thought the additional 35 (!) bhp over my car would've made more difference in the seat of the pants feel. I could barely tell there was any extra power under the hood. Much different than driving the Cobra. You could really feel that right off the bat. Well, now that I've driven the new car, I know I can wait. Makes it easier to wait for the 2000 Cobra (or Lightning pickup...). That's all for now.I'm currently a member of the North Texas Mustang Club. I haven't been able to spend as much time as I would've liked with them, but hopefully this year I will be able to change that.

Ford/Mustangs - Ferrari's - Racing - The Aftermarket - Magazines - Cars Misc - Buying a Car -I am also a fan of vehicles from Italy. Of them, my favorite has to be Ferrari's. All thanks to Tom Selleck and Don Johnson. Seriously, though, I will one day have one (or two) in my stable of cars. And throw in a Ducati for good measure.
Ferrari Official Web SiteRacing is a favorite pastime of mine, both watching and participating. I've been lucky enough to go to some great tracks: Pocono (NASCAR), Talledega(NASCAR), Indianapolis(INDY), Englishtown(NHRA), Texas Motorplex(NHRA) and Maple Grove Raceway(NHRA). Had a GREAT time watching NASCAR at the Texas Motor Speedway. More recently I've been to the major NHRA events at the Texas Motorplex. Finally got to race my car this year at the Motorplex. Ran a best time of 15.73! I'm a fan of Mark Martin and the John Force/Tony Pedregon team. I was a big fan of Davey Allison, until his unfortunate helicopter accident. I also collect many of the racing collectibles available.
